Introduction
This policy describes the personal information we collect, how it is used and shared, member choices regarding this information and applies to our members or others with whom we communicate. Any reference in this policy to information or personal information is to “personal data” as defined under the General Data Protection Regulations.

Who are we?
We are Wirral Arts & Culture Community Land Trust (WACCLT). All references to “we” “our” “us” within this policy are deemed to refer to WACCLT, a Community Benefit Society established under the Co-Operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 (registered by the Financial Conduct Authority on 20 September 2021, registration number 8729). Our registered office is Flat A Ground Floor, 8 Silverdale Road, Birkenhead, Prenton, CH43 2JR, The data controller is the secretary.

The personal information we collect
We collect information on the name, address, and contact details (e-mail) of those who have joined the organisation as subscribing members.

How we use your information
Our purpose in collecting personal information is to provide members with information relating to their membership and the activities, procedures and meetings of WACCLT.

We may use the information we collect to investigate or address claims or disputes relating to your use of our services, or as otherwise allowed by applicable law. We may share your information other than as described in this policy if we notify you and you provide your specific consent for this purpose.

Safety and Security
We will treat your data with the utmost care and adopt good practice in relation to the gathering and holding of information.

Accessing and Correcting Your Information
Members can edit the name, phone number, postal address and email address within by contacting us. You may opt-out of receiving information from us by contacting us by Email or by post following instructions from within the mailing itself or sending back to the sender address

How long we keep your data for
We will only keep personal data for an appropriate period of time for the purpose(s) for which we are using it. This period will vary and be dependent on our contractual and legal requirements.

Your Rights
You have the right to ask us to provide you with the personal information we may hold for you and what we are using this information for. This is known as a “Subject Access Request”. You also have the right to request that we delete your personal information. Upon receipt of such requests we will endeavour to respond at least within one month.

If a member believes the personal information we hold is incorrect, please let us know and we will rectify this as soon as possible.

If a member is not happy with the manner in which we have used personal information she/he has the right to complain to a statutory authority, in the UK this would be the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Updates to this policy
We monitor and review our privacy policy regularly. If we make significant changes we will endeavour to notify members through the website or through other means such as email.
