#WACCLT

Why become a member?

WACCLT is a member-run community benefit society (a type of charitable co-operative) which will keep us rooted in our community. All who support our aims are welcome to join as members, including organisations and groups.

WACCLT operates on a one member one vote system, so every member has the right to vote on the decisions made at the AGM each year and to stand for board. Members who are organisations or groups will only have one vote at the AGM.

If you agree with and support our aims, and you have read and agree to our rules which are downloadable from our website, we would love you to join us and bring your skills, expertise and interests to our growing grass roots organisation. As a member you will help shape and drive the overall work we deliver. If you have particular skills or areas of interest such as social media, arts, admin, accountancy, fundraising etc. that could help us please let us know.

Membership is in exchange for a £1 share in the Society which can be redeemed later, if you wish.

WACCLT is a unique member led organisation which aims to deliver ambitious and transformational arts programmes for the communities of Wirral.

How do I join?

Joining couldn’t be easier. Membership is open to individuals, organisations and groups. Complete the membership form, pay your membership fee (including your optional donation to help support us in our aims) and it’s done! We’ll send your membership card to you.

GIFT AID

Donating through Gift Aid means we can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give. It will not cost you any extra.

For Gift Aid purposes, you must be a UK tax payer and pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for each tax year that is at least equal to the amount of tax that all the charities that you donate to will reclaim on your gifts for that tax year.

We cannot claim Gift Aid for your £1 share, but every additional £ you donate through Gift Aid will help us even more.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

We’ll send a membership card to you in the post. We’ll also add you to our mailing list so that we can keep you informed about events, meetings and so on.

HOW ELSE CAN I HELP?

As we mention above, if you have particular skills or areas of interest such as social media, arts, admin, accountancy, fundraising etc. that could help us we would really like to hear from you. Please let us know by coming along to one of our meetings or drop us a line through the contact form.
